David Satori
Description: Downtempo easy listening music from David Satori who is also one of the members of ‘Beats Antique’ , ‘Aphrodesia’ and ‘The Funnies’
Performers/Musicians: David Satori
Location: San Francisco, California, USA
Biography: David Satori has been making music since he has 12 years old in his hometown of Burlington, VT. He received his BA in Music at Cal Arts in 2001, and has been touring with different bands from then on. David moved up to San Francisco in the fall of 2003 after breathing in too much of the smog from Los Angeles. Currently he is playing with Aphrodesia, SF’s super Afrobeat ensemble.
He also has become quite the environmental activist by co-founding the Clean Fuel Caravan Coalition, which is a collective of clean fuel advocates who travel in clean fuel vehicles, such as bio-diesel, electric, etc. But when he’s not playing live or recycling waste veggie oil, he’s usually mixing up some crazy beats on his laptop. His album “Interplay” is his first attempt at producing his own electronic sound, and it shows the playfulness of someone jumping into un-treaded waters. The album harnesses many different textures and melodic formulas bringing on a new and experimental style that has launched Mr. Satori on a path, which is headed into further uncharted realms. Enjoy the music and stay tuned for the next installment.
